Robert Lee McGee

Brother Robert Lee McGee, 58, departed this life to claim his riches in glory on July 30, 2022 in Batesville, Arkansas. He was born on January 4, 1964 in Helena-West Helena, Arkansas to the late Lula Mae Dixon.

He was a dedicated church member at the First New Testament Holiness Church in Batesville and was a talented guitar player and songwriter. Also known to many as Bro. Rob, he would minister to people through his guitar and his songs. He wrote many songs for the Touch of Heaven singing group such as, “I Want to See His Face.” He also created music for Bro. Ronald Childress’ music album such as, “Now Lay Me Down to Sleep,” and “Don’t Judge a Book by Its Cover.” Above all else, Bro. Rob will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Bro. Rob is survived by his siblings; brother, Victor Chatman; brother, Curtis (Rose) Scales; sister, Lesa (Lee) Randle; brother, Darnell (Tonya) McClinton; brother, Tony Vance; brother, Freddie Vance; brother, Rodney Vance; and sister, Maria Vance. He leaves to cherish his memories a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Lula Mae Vance; his brother, Willie Webb and his brother, Rickey Vance.

The family would like to thank all of you for your prayers, cards and support in their time of bereavement.

Homegoing Celebration service will be Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Pastor Timothy Childress officiating. Burial will follow in the Maxville Cemetery in Cave City.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 11:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Victor Chatman, Darnell McClinton, Freddie Vance, Curtis Scales, Tony Vance and Rodney Vance.

Honorary pallbearers are Dustin Norris, Tristan Vance, Troy Dixon, Rickey Norris, Damien Scales and Jim Dixon.

Arrangements are by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
