Roy D. Griffis Sr.

Roy D. Griffis Sr., 79 of Batesville died Sunday, April 5, 2020. He was born January 24, 1941 in Banner, Arkansas to Loyd and Ella Morehead Griffis. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. He was owner and operator of Independence Glass for 18 years and then worked for 3D Glass. He was a member of Ruddell Hill Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Laura Jayne and brother Gwen Dale Griffis.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sue Roberts Griffis; sons, Roy Dwain Griffis (Ronda) of Cushman and David Griffis (Melody) of Melbourne; two grandchildren; two step grandchildren and a sister, Ruby Gale Bartanen of Ishpeming, Michigan.
