Sarah Lois (Baldwin) Camden

Sarah Lois (Baldwin) Camden entered this world March 3, 1938 in Parkin, Arkansas. The seventh child amidst 15 siblings, born to the proud parents, H.E. and Bertha Baldwin. 

She married the love of her life, Carl Arlin Camden on October 2, 1954. Their marriage gave them four children, Michael Carl, Sarah Annette, Brian Keith, and Faith Arlin. In their later years, they were blessed with another daughter by adoption, Crystal. 

Sarah’s life story is characterized by love and service to God, and others. Until health issues, she was a homemaker extraordinaire. She loved cooking, sewing and crocheting. Cooking and entertaining at holidays was especially the highlights in her life. She was also a wonderful singer and avid worshipper. 

Sarah is preceded in death by her parents, H. E. and Bertha Baldwin; husband, Carl Arlin Camden; daughter, Faith Arlin; brothers, Ben, Junior, Phillip and David Baldwin; sisters, Nellie Wilson and Doris Byrd.

She is survived by her children Michael Camden (Melody), Annette Parmley, (Michael), Brian Camden (Lora), Crystal Suarez (Richard); brothers, Calvin Baldwin (Shirley), J.D. Baldwin, Steve Baldwin (Imogene); sisters, Rebecca Baldwin, Betty Berry, Virginia Grisham (Clayton), Darlene Hickerson, Marie Brown, Elaine Kahler (Gary); sisters-in-law, Judy Baldwin and Ruth Baldwin Brown; grandchildren, Michael Camden (Katie), Jason Camden (Candace), Adrian Parmley (Fallon), Morgan Stroup (Ryan), Jeremy Camden (Donna), Tara Camden, Josh Camden; 14 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind loving nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 22, 2025, 12:00 noon at the First Church of Batesville with Rev. M.D. Parmley, Rev. Johnathan Abbott and Rev. Tim Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 22, 2025, 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.

Pallbearers will be Adrian Parmley, Jeremy Camden, Michael T. Camden, Jason Camden, Josh Camden, Grady Camden and Jayden Camden.
