Tommie Lee Masner of Cave City, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on January 4, 2026 at the age of 90. He was born on February 15, 1935 in Cave City, the son of Tint O. and Elvie Masner.
Tommie lived a full and remarkable life, one that began with humble and challenging times. At just 14 years old, he enlisted in the Army with his father’s signature and went on to serve in Korea. After his service, he earned a college degree and later retired from the Missouri school system, where he served with dedication as both a teacher and a principal.
Over the years, Tommie pursued many ventures, including owning The Dream House, managing commercial and residential properties, and farming. With each endeavor, he worked tirelessly, always learning and striving to ensure that his children would never experience the hardships he once knew.
Tommie was preceded in death by his wife of 70 plus years, Floy Gean Masner; his parents; one son, Shan Masner; one daughter, Alma Masner; and his brothers, Junior, Glenn, Edward, Jimmie, Neal and Charles.
He is survived by one son, Douglas Masner (Debbie); one daughter, Joe Ann Baxter; one daughter-n-law, Lourie Masner; four grandchildren, Alina Grammer (Eddie), Michael Foley (Mariessa), Tina Bruce (Austin), and Kurt Masner (Abbey); 10 great grandchildren, Garrett McSpadden (Whitney), Marina Balser (Stephen), Jaimie Low (Tyler), Matthew McSpadden (Angelica), Austin Grammer, Olivia Rider (Clayton), Alissa Foley, Aria Bruce, Charlotte Masner and Gunner Masner; 9 great-great grandchildren, Max McSpadden, Miles McSpadden, Ella McSpadden, Sterling Balser, Liam Low, Lux McSpadden, Suede McSpadden, Bellamy Rider and Elvie Rider; along with a host of several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Cave City with Bro. John Sanders and Bro. Daniel Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Maxville Cemetery in Cave City.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
Arrangements are by Qualls Funeral Homes.
Pallbearers will be Michael Foley, Eddie Grammer, Garrett McSpadden, Austin Bruce, Jonathan Simmons and Robert Brockway.
Honorary pallbearers are Kurt Masner, Matthew McSpadden, Fred Linthicum, Clayton Rider and Stanley Wren.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of Cave City.
