Valarie L. King

Valarie L. King, 42, of Batesville, Arkansas passed away Friday, July 10, 2026 in Batesville. She was born April 17, 1984 in Calico Rock, Arkansas to Lisa (Aaron) Verser and Robbie (Heather) Cooper. She was a teacher at the Southside School District and a nurse for 20 years. She was a member of the Mt. View Baptist church. Valarie enjoyed watching her kids play sports, spending time with her beloved husband and children, shopping, taking vacations with family, and health and fitness.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Leonard and Christine Powell; and her father, Robbie Cooper.

She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Adam King; her son, Bryson King; her daughter, Adalynn King; her brothers, Brandon Prince, Randy (Amy) Verser, Cody Cooper, and Johnathan (Jaime) Cooper; her sister in law, Yvonne (Joey) Doyle; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 17, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Vance Penn officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery.

A visitation will be held Thursday, July 16, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Eric Van Evera, Randy Verser, Brandon Prince, Cody Cooper, Johnathan Cooper, and Shane Hawkins.

Honorary pallbearers will be Southside School District, Aaron Verser and Blake Gill.
