Virginia Hulett Layne

Virginia Hulett Layne, 88, of Batesville died Sunday, August 4, 2019. She was born June 7, 1931 in Center, Arkansas to Arbus Trett and Cora Myrtle Hulett.   She was a homemaker and a member of the North Heights Church of Christ in Batesville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Bryan Layne, Jr. and a sister, Faye Wanda Sharp.

Survivors include daughters, Kay Tidwell (Wayne) of Batesville and Gina Layne (Jeraine Root) of Crosby, Texas; sisters, Willene Norris of Poughkeepsie and Freda Wallis of Batesville; granddaughters, Emily Smith (Kevin) and Ellie Tidwell, both of Batesville; great grandson, Hank Smith of Batesville; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Flatwoods Church of Christ near Evening Shade with James Bristow officiating. Burial will follow in the Spotts Cemetery at Poughkeepsie with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Pallbearers will be Tracy Wallis, Greg Wallis, Kevin Smith, James Bristow and Ron Helm.
