Virginia Irene Hinson Millsap, 88 of Desha passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, June 30, 2021. She was born October 28, 1932 in Cave City, Arkansas to Wesley and Eula Duncan Hinson. She was a beautiful person that loved her family, friends and anyone she came in contact with throughout her incredible journey of life. She was a gentle and kind person that always found the good in all things. She loved taking care of kids and nurturing the ones she loved. A talented gardener and grower of flowers, she respected the earth and took good care of the soil.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 46 years. Henry Edison Millsap; sisters, Madge Cox and Coleen Hinson Hamlett Maples; brothers, Eulice Hinson and Eanos Hinson and sisters-in law, Hester Hinson and Louise Hinson.
Survivors include one son, Eddie Millsap (Tammy) of Desha; one daughter, Cheryl Anderson of Pleasant Plains; two sisters, Verlene House of Batesville and Veda Mae Reynolds of Kokomo, Indiana; five grandchildren, Mandy Le, Melissa Millsap, Matt Millsap, Amber Gould and Zach Rawlins; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Putman Cemetery in Pleasant Plains with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
Mom loved giving to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. In lieu of flowers please contribute to their incredible efforts to cure cancer.
