Wallace Edward "Ed" Shaver

Wallace Edward “Ed” Shaver, 75, of Mt. Pleasant, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 in Batesville, Arkansas. He was born March 15, 1951 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Wallace Eugene Shaver and Elizabeth Brandimore. He was a chemical operator for Eastman and a member of the Mt. Pleasant Southern Baptist Church. Ed was an Eagle Scout, a state champion football player, and a record holder for his swim team. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, swimming, and was a great storyteller.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ellen Shaver of the home; two sons, Clayton Shaver and Wesley Shaver both of Mt. Pleasant, Arkansas; one brother, Dale Shaver (Linda) of Battle Creek, Michigan; two sisters Julie Kabiasiak (Chuck) of Battle Creek, Michigan, and Rose Pierce (Marty) of Battle Creek, Michigan; two grandchildren, Wylie Shaver and Owen Shaver; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held Monday, August 24, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Cushman, Arkansas with Bro. Bruce Qualls officiating.
