Walter William Gibbs

Walter William Gibbs, 80, of Batesville passed away September 1, 2025 at Batesville. He was born June 1, 1945 at Providence Rhode Island to Charles Gibbs and Helen (Jones) Gibbs. He honorably served four years in the United States Air Force. He was a postal clerk and a member of the Batesville Seventh Day Adventist Church. He loved fishing and watching sports (most specifically basketball).

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Norman Gibbs and three others; and a sister Lillian Idlett.

Survivors include his wife, Hinda Gibbs of 28 years of the home; step-son Patrick Parker; daughters Antwinette Castillo, Rhonda Gibbs, Darlene Coleman, Kathryn Perry, and Susan Shelton; brother Vernon Gibbs; sister Jennie Ferrell; grandchildren, Samarah Shelton, Kalisah Shelton, Lucy Parker and several others; along with several great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
