Willie C. Owens, 85, of Cave City died Thursday, November 1, 2018. He was born February 24, 1933, in Guion, Arkansas to Claud Everett and Eva Catherine Green Owens. He was a retired LP gas truck driver having worked for Tripp Gas Company and Hurley Gas Company; a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Sammie Owens and Everett Owens; and one sister, Paulene Edwards.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Janice Owens; two sons, Jerry Owens (Lisa) of Walnut Ridge, and David Owens (Stephanie) of Bixby, Oklahoma; one daughter, Melba Wilkinson (David) of Cave City; one sister, Rosa Bone of Cave City; seven grandchildren, Jessica Wilkinson, Sarah Owens, Katie Dunbar, Garrett Owens, Abigail Owens, Madison Owens, and Spencer Owens; two great grandchildren, Jayden Dunbar and Rory Dunbar; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Sunday, November 4, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Ron Canard officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Scott Dunbar, Garrett Owens, Blake Mullen, Spencer Owens, Jake Antonovitch and Clyde Owens.
Honorary pallbearer is Coy Owens.
